Movement increases the amount of synovial fluid in the joints, which provides lubrication and helps the joints move smoothly. Exercise also strengthens the muscles, ligaments, and tendons surrounding each joint. Using moist heat prior to performing simple exercises can ease pain and help increase elasticity of tendons and muscles making them more pliable and responsive to therapy and exercise.

MicroBeads Mitts are made with a plush fabric cover that is soft to the touch and gentle on the skin. Anti-migration dots keep beads evenly distributed throughout the mitt for more consistent coverage. MicroBeads do not support the growth of bacteria and mold, or contain common allergens like herbal or grain based packs.

Most experts recommend moist heat over dry heat to help relieve pain. When comparing these two methods, moist heat penetrates deeper into the affected area, helps increase tissue elasticity, and helps decrease overall joint stiffness. It is also less likely to cause skin dehydration, making it ideal for people with dry and/or aging skin.

How It Works: The microbeads adsorb moisture from the air and release it when heated. Simply warm pack in the microwave; the pack will maintain therapeutic temperature for 20 minutes. To retain heat longer, wrap a towel around the mitt during use. Reusable. Latex free. Made in USA.

CAUTION! Overheating may cause injury. Microwave oven power varies greatly. It is important to heat this product slowly upon initial use to determine how quickly the microwave oven heats the mitt. For initial use, heat 30 seconds on high heat setting, shake thoroughly, and then continue heating at 10 second intervals on high heat setting until desired temperature is reached. Shake thoroughly after each heating.
